Simon, the Chief Executive of Spring, boasts an impressive 35 years of industry experience. He is renowned for his role in developing three international fund businesses, making a lasting impact in the financial sector.
Simon's journey began as a part-owner of Forsyth Partners, where he seeded and launched one of the pioneering funds of fund businesses in the 90s. His career continued to flourish as he became the Executive Director of Jupiter International, where he assumed leadership of international sales and introduced the Merlin International range, including the launch of their Global Dynamic Bond fund. Subsequently, Simon served as an Executive Director at Smith and Williamson, where he played a pivotal role in establishing their international business presence, reaching across the Nordics to the Middle East and the Far East. His expertise extends to investment platforms and offshore trust companies, making him a specialist in these areas. He also played a significant role in funding Collidr, the investment engine that empowers Spring IM, in 2012.
Simon's influence extends beyond his professional success. He is the founding member and Chairman of the Channel Islands Wealth Management Association, demonstrating his commitment to the industry's development and growth in the region.
Outside of the boardroom, Simon initiated the www.jerseyroundislandchallenge.com, recognized as a top UK endurance event by Redbull. He established the www.jerseyfrancechallenge.com, raising funds for local charities. His primary hobby is sea swimming, conquering feats like swimming around the island, Jersey to France, and Lake Geneva. When not swimming, he enjoys family boating and fishing and chairs the Jersey Independent lifeboat.
