Client Relations & Investments Manager
Alex Macdonald joined Spring Investment Management in December 2025 as a Client Relations & Investment Manager.
He began his career in investment management in 2019 with Ashburton Investments, where he worked as a Middle Office Specialist. In this role, Alex developed hands-on experience supporting fund managers with trade execution and gained a strong understanding of the full trade lifecycle and operational processes that underpin successful portfolio management.
In 2020, Alex moved to SG Kleinwort Hambros as an Assistant Investment Manager, supporting Discretionary and Advisory Portfolio Managers in the administration and ongoing management of client portfolios. This experience strengthened his client service focus and deepened his understanding of portfolio management and investment strategy.
Qualifications
Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Level 4 Diploma in Investment Advice
CFA Institute – Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Programme, Level I passed
